The Road to Here πŸ“

The short version is that I just couldn’t get existing tools, such as Jekyll or Hero to run on Linux.

To be fair, I was installing the version from the repo and those are usually old. I could have installed ruby then the latest version of Jekyll and jumped on that treadmill, but I remembered I had an old Jekyll clone written in JavaScript, and I decided that if it was going to be a diy project, then it would be my diy project! Just say no to treadmills!

I copied the catppuccin 😺 theme from hyndufβ€˜s blog, catppuccin is my favorite theme. I also upgraded the code (it’s 11 years old) to modern JavaScript. The workflow now defaults to creating the public folder in the project tree, making it truly myBlog.
